About this ebook

Enjoy this free first book in the sexy small-town motorcycle club series by USA Today and Wall Street Journal Bestselling author Laramie Briscoe.

We finally get our happily ever after...

Ê

Remington "Remy" Sawyer

Ê

For most of my life I've been the person who lived with the hand he was dealt. Not much in my life have I had a say in. Birthed by parents I don't talk to, I was raised by the only person who ever cared for me - my brother, Cash. Under his guidance, I've become the person I am today.

Ê

Productive member of society, and patched brother in the Heaven Hill MC.

Ê

I don't want for anything, other than Tatum Walker.

Ê

We had a shot, and we both screwed it up...massively.

Ê

Ê

Tatum "Tate" Walker

Ê

Being the daughter of the President of the Heaven Hill MC is a burden, but one I'll face every day with pride. It's hard for me to know what people like me for. Is it my personality, my looks, or are they trying to get close to the Club? There's one person I've never doubted.

Ê

Remington Sawyer.

Ê

A year ago we had one night that bordered on love - but ended with me walking away in tears - and him walking away in anger.

Ê

Some time away from each other has given us perspective. Now, instead of the storm of chaos that was our one attempt at a relationship, we're both ready for calm.

Ê

And nothing, they say, is as calm - as the eye of a Hurricane.Ê

I don't read a lot of MC romance, but being a Kentucky girl, I couldn't resist a series set around Bowling Green. It's not exactly a stone's throw from me but darn close. Hurricane gives us a second chance for Tatum and Remy, and I'm a sucker for second chances, so it didn't take me long to start rooting for this couple. We also get the added bonus of a sort of enemies to lovers story with Tatum and Remy since she's been mad at him for the past year. The story is emotional and even heartbreaking at times, especially when it dips into Remy's childhood. It's also equally heartwarming as this pair finds their footing with each other. I have to say I loved Remy's idea for getting his foot in the relationship door with Tatum. There is some danger to deal with, but most of the story revolves around the romance, which is equal parts sweet, sexy, and swoon-worthy. Remy and Tatum are like pieces of the same puzzle. They have their differences, but they still just fit. This is the first book in a spin-off series, but I had no trouble figuring everyone out and following the story. I like that the author gives enough backstory to avoid confusion without getting into info dump territory. And after meeting this wonderful group of characters, I'm hooked, so will be checking out that earlier series.

I was so excited to read this next generation of the Heaven Hill series. You can read this as a standalone and not be out of the loop. I have read most of the series, but I am missing a few and I don’t know how I missed them. I better get reading! Tatum “Tate” Walker is the President’s daughter of the Heaven Hill MC and she grew up with the security and love of her family and her MC family. She’s young at 20 and she is a force of nature. She is known around the club as a hurricane. She is outspoken and has been known for bratty behavior. She has been in love with Remington “Remy” Sawyer for a long time and at an MC party, she and Remy had a thing and then they had a very volatile falling out. I won’t get into the particulars as you need to read the book to find out how things transpired. Remy is a wonderful man. He is a hard worker, he is a loyal MC brother, he is a loving brother to Cash and his sister-in-law who raised him. Remy and Cash had a terribly abusive childhood and when Cash could he took Remy out of that hell. Remy has been in love with Tate since their tryst last year. They had been best friends for years and he missed her. He had to take matters into his own hands and try to repair the damage. That’s where I am going to leave it as the reader needs to dive in and enjoy the journey that is Tate and Remy. I fell in love with the characters both old and new. The book flowed well, and I had more than a few swoons as Remy is a soft spoken and kind of shy guy, but oh man can he can be very sexy and very alpha! Tate is a very lucky girl! I laughed, I wanted to cry and when I finished the book I felt satisfied. There are some intense topics that could be triggers for some, however, the author handled them with care. The secondary characters have so much potential for future books that I am just chomping at the bit to get my hands on the next installment. I hope you fall in love with this new series like I did.

Some parts were a bit redundant and the story lines of Remy were a bit unbelievable. However, I certainly enjoyed the fact that family isn't always about blood relation. I appreciate touching on anxiety and abuse and overcoming bad situations. It was a good book and definitely worth the read. Sometimes I felt lost because I knew there are earlier books I haven't read but this is definitely a stand alone book and you dont get lost.
