About this ebook

From a New York Times Bestselling Author, The MacKinnon's Bride brings us love, honor, suspense, passion--all the good things we love in a Highlander Romance. When laird Iain MacKinnon's young son is captured by the English, the fierce Scottish chieftain retaliates in kind, capturing the daughter of his enemy to bargain for his boy's return. Fiercely loyal to kin, Iain never imagines a father can deny his child--or that he will become Page FitzSimon's savior. "Keep her, or kill her!" FitzSimon proclaims when Iain forces his hand. What can a good lad do, but take the lass home. Even as Page blames her reluctant champion for welching on a bargain with her father, she suspects the truth... the shadows hold secrets... and danger. Now only love can save MacKinnon's fiery new bride.

The tale was enchanting, and the plot was different from many of the highland books i lose my self in. I found my self unable to put this one down, and the only thing i would habe changed about this is the son seemed more of an afterthought. If the love he felt for his son was how the author was trying to portray it then the sun should have been more of a Forefront in the book

A great book always consists of a couple of things, IMHO: good ediying becausd without that, the book loses its flavor no matter what, Strong lead characters, involved secondary characters, descriptive language, both in feeling (internal dialogue) and scene, unexpected twists, hurt (a necessary element), and finally an ending that was better than I imagined. This book has it all. Well done!!

It was like I understood each one's emotions, like it was my life in the story. I loved her Spirit, loved that he had the knowledge and compassion to take her on. The rejection, acceptance, uncertainty, needing to hear it, know it, believe it. To be loved by many, protected, finding a place to call home. ( I still have yet to experience the last sentence).
